Removed from a North Yorkshire farmstead, this extremely large and deeply carved 18th century stone horse/cattle trough can be used today in any number of ways. Note the gently rounded corners and beautiful over all weathering. The small niche cut-out on the rim would have accommodated a small pipe connecting up with a cast iron pump standing immediate adjacent.
