A truly grand 19th century French cast iron featuring mask and loop handles, a trailing grape vine frieze, deeply gadrooned bowl and acanthus leaf socle all in a wonderful old blue/green surface with traces of original gold highlights. Although not signed or stamped, the urn reflects the workmanship and artistry of a top foundry.
