PAIR OF CAST IRON URNS BY THE ALFRED CORNEAU CORNEAU FOUNDRY

Stylish pair of late 19th century cast iron urns by the French Foundry, Alfred Corneau Charleville.

The urns have elaborate handles and deeply lobed bodies with an interesting paint history.

The Corneau foundry was founded iin Charlevillei  the mid-19th century by brothers Alfred and Emile Corneau as  Corneau Feres. By 1880 Emile had left the firm to concentrate on a career in politics and the firm became Alfred Corneau.
